Kevin Janison is an award winning television personality who has held the National Weather Association Seal of Approval since 1985. Kevin was named National Broadcaster of the Year in 2006 by the National Weather Association. This honor was bestowed based on his on-air work and service to the community. He has won an Emmy for his on-air work. He won a “Best Weathercast” award from the Associated Press, “Best On-Air Personality from WIC and several mentions in the Review Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas.”

Kevin was named to the Greenspun Media Group’s “Most Influential Las Vegans.” In 2003, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce named Kevin, “Humanitarian of the Year.” In 2005, FITT recognized him as a “Citizen of Distinction.” He was also named to the “Top 40 Under 40” by the Las Vegas Business Press. During an average year, Kevin visits dozens of civic organizations and makes a whopping 110 school visits giving presentations on reading, meteorology, tornado chasing and addresses at graduations and DARE assemblies. His presentations are fun, entertaining and known to get the audience involved.
Kevin speaks on topics such as reading and literacy, the writing process, broadcasting, meteorology, tornado chasing, and is also a popular emcee for organizations and events in the Vegas Valley.
